Delivering nutrient-rich, ethically produced food while restoring the health
of our soils and communities.

About Us

Bo-Vironment Pty Ltd was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period that emphasized the vital role of essential services—particularly in securing access to nutritious and responsibly produced food. As we recognized the need for direct-to-consumer distribution, of nutrient-dense meat, we began developing a model for ethical food production grounded in regenerative agriculture.

At the time, limited expansion capacity on our 70-hectare farm led us to apply our regenerative expertise to a mining rehabilitation project—an essential services sector during the pandemic. This initiative successfully transformed degraded tailings into fertile topsoil, demonstrating the broader environmental potential of our methods.

With the effective completion of this mining rehabilitation project, Bo-Vironment is now focused on expanding its core agricultural operations. In response to rising consumer demand, we aim to scale beyond grass-fed beef into lamb, mutton, and pilot projects for pasture-raised chicken, and eggs—delivering nutrient-rich, ethically produced food while restoring the health of our soils and communities.

Meet the team

Meet Jaco de Bruin, our dedicated CEO and Founder. With a remarkable career spanning 30 years in cattle hoof health and lameness, complemented by two decades of experience in regenerative farming, Jaco is a true visionary at the intersection of farming and environmental stewardship. He’s not just a pioneer; he’s a transformative force. Through innovative land use management and the application of livestock under Ultra-High-Density Grazing (UHDG), Jaco has achieved extraordinary results, rebuilt lost topsoil, and increased the farm’s carrying capacity from 1 LSU / 7Ha to an impressive 1 LSU / 0.5 Ha.

For Jaco, the future of mining site rehabilitation is luminous when approached from a regenerative agricultural standpoint. His vision entails pioneering methods that result in superior outcomes at lower costs, benefitting both mining companies and the environment. As a devoted family man, Jaco’s work is about creating a lasting legacy for future generations—a legacy built on sustainability and robust ecological health.
